Default 2007 SXT 3.5 V6 Overheating When Driving

Hi, I just got my new 2007 Magnum SXT with the 3.5 V6.

The temp gauge will show half way between C and H while the car
is parked but as soon as you try to drive it quickly moves all the way
up to H. Last night if I left the hood slighly open and drove under 20
mph it seemed not to heat up as quickly. I made it home. I hope I
haven't damaged the engine. It has 133,000 miles on it. It also has

new thermostat, water pump and timing belt.

While parked and engine at idle I attempted what I thought was

bleeding the cooling system. So the little fitting on top by the upper
radiator hose was open and the cap loosened or removed from the

coolant reservoir. After what seemed like an hour it would just bubble
up though the reservoir every few minutes. Air or steam would come

out of that fitting on top of the engine by the upper radiator hose. It just kept doing this every few minutes.

I had the heater turned on and the fan on but never got any hot air inside
the car.

Also the upper radiator hose never seemed to have any fluid in it. It felt hot. If I squeezed the hose more air would come out of the fitting on top of the engine.

Thank You. I hope I explained this clear enough. Could this be a thermostat stuck closed? Or could this be a symptom of a clogged up
radiator?

You didn't say, are the electric fans coming on?

In my experience its always been the water pump if the fans work. also be sure to bleed the cooling system when filling to avoid air pockets, bleed valve is near thermostat housing.
