Getting Ready to Run in Phoenix
After what seems like an eternity, and a trip to Frankenstein's Labs to get an engine replacement for a 7 cyl 5.7, this is what we have. 2016 Challenger SRT8 392(complete engine)w/ stock ex mani only 9200mi, a 2014 300SRT8 NAG1 (40,500 mi), 2012 3.06 Getrag, 3" cats and exhaust, Mopar stage II suspension, brembo brakes, and a revamped air filter/box/cool air channel. It dynos 429whp and 448wtq on a conservative tune. Torque is reasonably flat, but we're not sure if the dual channel intake manifold is functioning properly. With the Alcoa forged wheels we've got the 245/45/20's on the front and 295/40/20"s rear. Still trying to workout some of the bugs, trans is a little off, and it keeps throwing 0138/0158 O2 codes, but otherwise the Dr. has pulled it off. Pulls hard! Spins the rears at 1-2, fiercely, 2-3 similarly, but 3-4 not so much when left in D. Pics to follow, just thought a few of you might have some thoughts for an older fart trying to build a budget SRT8 that flies NA.
