Default 2005 r/t should I buy?

new to the forum here and testing the waters. My bud has an '05 magnum R/T in very good condition with 300k on it. now before anyone freaks let me say, he's a professional who travels doing shows all yr long (thus the high highway miles). since it was his bread & butter, he has always been vigilant with maintainence and has all his records. the car has never been beat nor has the service ever been neglected. I dont drive a lot and neither does my wife (8k & 6k a yr on our current cars) do you think its worth it to grab this? It runs great and I'm grabbing it for 2000. I figure at that price wven if it does fail, I should be able to sell the shell for close to what I paid.
Thoughts???

That's a Hemi, right? Sounds like a steal of a deal to me. Those engines are bulletproof and with the small amount of driving you do the gas mileage shouldn't be a issue. I believe the Hemi with "variable displacement" gets better mileage than the 3.5 V6 anyway.

My son just recently bought a 2008 Aspen Limited with a Hemi and 205K miles on it and hauled a 34' travel trailer 1000 miles with it. A bit of a white knuckle trip because it was a bit over the limit, but not a problem from the engine and transmission.

For THAT PRICE, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
