Best/Easiest Way to hook-up Amp/Subwoofer???

Would using a line converter from rear speakers be the easiest way to hook a amp/sub up to the existing original audio system. Getting power to the sub is easy enough since battery is right there. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

The ordinary LOC simply converts the signal coming in to a low level output and nothing else.

The sound processor will take the same signal coming in however it'll

1. Remove the factory set EQ setting/curve
2. Boost the output voltage
3. Output an acoustically flat and pure signal - no matter how hard the incoming signal is distorted, the output will always be clean.

So, the benefits are that a signal processor will provide the very best signal output from an oem head unit or a unit with speaker level outputs only. The ordinary LOC will transfer all the distortion etc straight to your amplifier and the potential for overcooking the speaker voice coils by the amplified distortion is greater.

Save money and get an amp with speaker level inputs.
