The more I look at the first one, the more I have to agree. It's kind of "anonymous" looking... a corporate, designed by committee look. The Magnum has never just "blended in", it's a unique design.
Like you, I like the second one better... but I think we can both agree, that version would never be built, it's too "custom".
Auto manufactureres build cars for John and Jane Q. Citizen, not for folks on forums. They listen to us, but they have to look at a much bigger picture.
All that being said, I'm not sure I'd want to see "Corporate Customs" marketed. The Magnum has been the perfect "clean slate", from which very cool, true customs have come forth... modded to the individual's taste.
I came up with another one-off, but I'm not sure whether I'm diggin' the finished concept. I dunno, too "Ricer-ish"?
It's all just an excercise anyway... the Magnum isn't coming back, at least in it's present form. My fear is that Chrysler still wants to stick the "Magnum" name on an over-sized SUV.
