Ok, I went a little nuts. I did pickup an 05 RT with a bad motor. Got an '16 SRT 6.4l installed w/ a '14 SRT8 NAG1. Having a few issues getting everything working right together, but was hoping to get a twin turbo kit to wrap things up. Any suggestions how to save a little and get a lot?

I did get the mopar stage II suspension, Brembo brakes, 3" exhaust w/ magnaflow cats, waiting for the new control module to get the trans and engine to work together properly. But I'd love to see if the motor would like 8-9lbs boost and stay together..

Pretty much tell you if you go over 6 to 7 pounds you'll need to forge the rest of the bottom end. Only thing that's forged now is the crank. The pistons in the 6.1 or 6.4 will not hold up to high boost. Need to be talking to an engine builder.

Thank you, was hoping the cooler charge of a turbo setup might buy a little leeway. Even if a WAI system might generate more durability by reducing knock and combustion temps. I've been advised to use the MMX piston/rod package, but if you're going that far it seems to make sense to consider cam/lifters/pushrods as well. Now the $$$ really start to grow and feels like taking a cold shower...

One thing is for sure, building a Mopar is not a cheap endeavor, even back in the good old days..........
