I had a feeling that some day I would own a magnum. I always liked the sport wagon look. Personally I think the look blows away that of a typical suv. It's sleek no matter what decade, so it will always look good. So I just bought a stock 2008 rt rwd. I have had trouble finding a good magnum forum thus far. I hope this is a good one ; no offense. And while I have at first joined as a free account, I will be happy to contribute at some point.
Thus far I have replaced the suspension as it was getting bouncy at 70k. I totally replaced the nivomats in the rear with the monroe 90029C conversion kit and moog ST8628 quick struts in the front. The monroe kit replaces both the springs and the nivomats since the nivo springs are less rigid due to the extra support provided by the nivos. Fwiw; I love the moog's as they are perfect response for daily driver for my taste; responsive, but not bouncy and not too hard either. The monroe shocks from the kit were terrible; way too bouncy and didn't jive well with front shocks, imho and for my taste. I replaced them with these koni's

These Koni's are a very good match for the moog quick struts in the front. Had I to do it over, I probably would have gotten the moog springs for the rear with the koni's, but at least the monroe kit provided the shock mounts for the koni's which don't come with any. Moog springs all the way around with koni's all around would probably have been a good choice too, rather than the quick struts in the front, but I'm very pleased with the Moog quick struts, although I think they may have stopped making them. So, I got the suspension the way I like it and now I'm off to beef up performance via NA upgrades as I have decided against the dangers of forced induction with this motor. My first post will be about cam upgrade. I have already decided more or less on the parts I'll be adding for headers and exhaust, but I'm certainly open to suggestion. Oh, btw; I'm kind of long winded. I just endeavor to be thorough. 😎
