Default 300 Front end swap

Hows it going all? I have 2006 SXT Magnum and want to do a 300 front swap. Could anyone tell me all the major parts I will need? Will I need to swap the front frame or just the hood , fenders, bumper fascia, and headlights? Also would I need 2006 300 parts? If someone could help me out that would be great. Thanks guys.

Byron

You'll need everything you said plus the upper core support and it doesn't have to be an 06

Basically you need fenders, hood, grille, headlights, bumper cover, impact absorber, and upper radiator tie bar -- model years 05-10 are same on the outside. I did not do an SRT8 nose so I didn't use things like air ducts to the brakes and headlight washers. I also skipped replacing the underbelly pans which I haven't missed at all. I sourced a lot of parts through rockauto.com which really cut a lot of costs. I used the halogen projector lamps instead of the factory HIDs (at over $1000). Never could figure out the right parts for the side marker lamps so rigged the magnum side bulbs into the 300 markers.

Here's a complete (although older so costs and parts numbers may have changed) ---
PARTS

4805928AC
300C Stock Grille (fits SRT-8 fascia)
$227.00 (Rockauto.com ---under $40)

5183422AA
Front fender (R)
$88.85 (rockauto --$70)

5183423AA
Front fender (L)
$88.85 (rockauto -- $70)

05112136AG
Hood
$624.00 (sourced through salvage $500)

5030576AB
300C SRT-8 Front Fascia
$464.00 ( "C" w/o washers $110 -- rockauto)

4805843AA
300C Tie Bar (headlights and fasica mount to this)
$210.00 ( $105 --- rockauto)

4805729AB
Front Bumper Impact Absorber
$139.00 ($75 Rockauto)

4805862AH
HALOGEN Headlight Assembly w/bulbs (R)
$324.00 ($130 -- rockauto)

4805863AH
HALOGEN Headlight Assembly w/bulbs (L)
$324.00 ($130 -- rockauto)

4805860AA
Side Marker Turn Signal (R)
$23.85

4805861AA
Side Marker Turn Signal (L)
$23.85

5013995AA
Side Marker Turn Signal Wiring Harness (x2)
$21.75 each

4805858AA
Fog Light Assembly (x2) (Magnum fogs will NOT fit)
$142.00 each ($20 each --- rockauto)

4878883AA
Pin/Retainer (x10)
$3.70 each

6504737
Plastic Rivet (x10)
$0.25 each

6506132AA
Push Pins (x8)
$1.10 each

4860379AA
Push Pins (x10)
$0.75 each

4596521AA
A/C Label
$1.35

4726202AA
Engine Label
$0.45

5029900AA
Air Duct to Brake (R)
$58.52

5029901AA
Air Duct to Brake (L)
$58.52

1BE04ZZZAA
Headlight Washer Nozzle (R) - Brilliant Black (different colors have different part numbers but all cost the same)
$39.04

1BE05ZZZAA
Headlight Washer Nozzle (L) - Brilliant Black (different colors have different part numbers but all cost the same)
$39.04

The complete changeover took about 5 hours (singlehanded) -- make sure you don't forget the push pins and such as they don't swap over from the Magnum (Thanks Chrysler). I picked up a used fascia (bumper cover) so it had things like the side markers already installed. There are a number of good-looking aftermarket hoods, fenders, and fascia on the market now if you want to get away from the "factory" look.

Hello MadDad,
Wow, You just answered my question(s) I believe. Do you have any pics of your completed project? Do you know of any others who have done the same conversion. From your list of parts is it all just sheet metal, lighting and fascia. Any mechanical alterations such as radiator, sub-frame, etc ??? I really appreciate your input

Thanks and what a Great website,
Mark

Yeah I was stationed in Germany for 6 years and they don't have a Dodge Magnum. Their Magnum is the Chyrsler 300 with the 300 front and it also has the 300 interior.
