HIDS melting housing?

I was wondering if anyone here has HID kits in there factory fog light housings and if so what wattage, lastly any melting?

I recently bought a 55watt kit for my fogs(in transit) but found out after the order, reports of melting (none on magnums yet).

The 55w concentrate a lot of heat compared to the standard 35w kits. You should be fine using them in the headlights but I'd be cautious of the fogs. Have you tried them? Any luck?

Had 55watt HIDs in my Factory fog lenses since August and don't even have any signs of distortion. They are the new electric style Ballasts if that matters.
