Default Two-way Radio Install

Has anyone installed either a mobile CB or Amateur (Ham) radio in their ride?

I've found ways to mount radio, remote head, remote speaker, and route antenna wiring with no problems. But how to run power directly from positive jump post (connected to battery in rear) to radio (passenger side, right of center console)?

Has anyone successfully run power from the engine compartment through the firewall to the dash underside?
