Post Please help...

Im looking to buy a 2006 dodge magnum priced at $6,991 with 193,626 miles on it at a dealership after taxes total cost $7,700 but with an offer of a trade in for a 1999 jeep grand cherokee with miles of 162,000 on it in good condition the dealership now wants with trade in $5,800. The magnum looks and runs great but is that to high of mileage? Is this a good deal?

It really depends on the year and model; If its an SE with the 2.7L engine ~ RUN!!! The SXT with the 3.5L are pretty nice, however If I were to buy another one it would be AT LEAST an RT with the 5.7 or the SRT with the 6.1.

That IS a lot of miles on that car especially IF it is a six cylinder.

I'd probably stay away from that one ESPECIALLY if it's the V6 model.

And these are just my opinions

Yes YOU can back out; tell them you are waiting for one with a larger engine; DO NOT let them tell you about gas mileage and all AS ours even with the 5.7L V8 are pretty good on gas. We are averaging over 17MPG even in the city. Now these do require 89 octane and NOT 87 octane, of course this is NORMAL driving and NOT spirited driving.

See the thread on here with the guy with a blown engine on THIS PAGE!

Magnum in need of engine rebuild, better to trade it in?

You are welcome; check Craigs List in your area and KEEP checking; we have bought some of ours from there at really good prices, you just have to be patient and keep looking.

I'd venture to BET, IF you get a V6 even the 3.5L You'll wish you waited for an RT, so much better everything!
