Default 05 Magnum 5.7 AWD

Thinking of selling an 05 Magnum 5.7L AWD. Bought for my wife and she prefers the Suburban. Silver with a custom blank trim work on the hood and front fascia. I purchased it about 2 years ago. Since then, I have put in a custom exhaust from the cat back - done by an exhaust specialist. Previous owner put really loud exhaust on it but the installer did a hack job and it droned really bad with the windows up. New exhaust is about mid-way between stock and stupid loud. It growls for sure but you can actually carry a conversation in the car. New Headlight and Tail Light assemblies. Previous owner put a Jasper ReMan about 3 years ago which runs great. I put in a new computer shortly after buying the car, new battery a few months ago. New LED lights pretty much all around (codes constantly show for the LED lights due to the different in resistance). Has K&N CAI kit - installed 3 months ago. Put in a Pioneer AVH-501EX HeadUnit in it also. Tires are from a 2013-2015 Dodge Charger. I have records of all the work from previous owner and work I did. Has always passed emissions and inspection. Pulls hard. My son is about to start driving and it's too much HP for to feel comfortable having him drive. I can provide a few pics for anyone interested. Interior is in decent shape. Not perfect. Also - forgot. I had the gas tank replaced under warranty and replaced the Fuel Filler neck and most of the EVAP components (canister, purge vent solenoid, and something else - can't remember). I had a problem with not being able to fill the tank when I first got the car. Ultimately, it was the filler neck that was the culprit. Also replaced the fuel pump after the filter/pump assembly developed a small crack.

Asking $8K... Figured I'd see if anyone on this forum might want to buy before I put it on FB and Craigslist.

I will see about pics once I get my wife's stuff out of it and verify the mileage on engine install and current mileage.

Updated pics. This is also posted on FB Marketplace. I've upped the asking to $9500. Car has been detailed.

2005 Dodge Magnum R/T AWD. Here's the link to the VIN Decoder with the specs: https://***************/forum/vindec...GZ58225H638391

Note the VIN in the URL if you want to pull up a CARFAX.

Current mileage is 158578... There is no issue with the gauge LED... the cluster glass has a polarized coating and it causes any videos or images to have a visible (moving) line where images don't pass through the glass/plastic.

JASPER reman engine installed in April 2018 at 143,395 miles. So - there's only been 15K miles put on the new Jasper engine. Unfortunately - the 100K mile/3year warranty has lapsed. I have a Jasper Reman on another vehicle and after 50K it still runs like new. So I'm confident you won't have any issues with this.

Previous owner had an MOPAR CAI in it that wasn't installed properly -I replaced that with an K&N CAI.

I had the entire exhaust from the CAT back (not including the cats) replaced by Robert's Custom Exhaust in Stafford VA. Previous owner has insanely loud exhaust in the car that would cause a horrible drone if the windows were closed. I had them replaced by DynaMax Turbos.. Still growls but it won't give you a headache. You can hear this car coming down the road for sure, though.

The wheels are from a 2015+ Dodge Challenger or Charger I believe. They are 18's with Yokohama Avid Envigor tires all with about 50% tread life left. They've been balanced and rotated at least once. New brake pads. about 6 months ago. This car did not come equipped with TPMS but I believe there is connector for a TPMS module you can install located in the right-rear fender well. The stereo is equipped to read TPMS data.

The fuel tank and fuel sending unit were replace within the last 18 months. I've had the car for 2 years. Fuel tank was covered under a warranty by Chrysler. Even after replacing, I had problems with filling up the tank.. I eventually replaced all of the EVAP parts (solenoid, charcoal canister and finally the gas filler neck - turns out the filler neck was the culprit. Previous owner had the other fuel pump replace in 2019... so both pumps of the saddle fuel tank are both relatively new.

I put LEDs lights where I could (does show up as a low draw fault in a code pull).

I installed a remanufactured and updated ECM shortly after I bought the car when it showed some gremlins. Haven't had any problem since.

Front headlight assemblies are both new - one I replaced myself. Rear ones I replaced about a year ago. Headlights, fog lights and taillights are LEDs.

I replaced the factory stereo with a Pioneer AVH-501EX 6.2 Inch DVD Receiver with HD Radio and Bluetooth. You can find the specs on Amazon or Crutchfield... I have a reverse camera that I will throw in that I never installed... the Wiring was run to the back, though. I used a Maestro datalink for the steering wheel interface which includes a dongle for OBD-II. The stereo displays basic engine info (which I believe you can update based on what info you want to see), battery voltage, and basic engine codes (you can also clear codes if they aren't major and recurring - like the time someone forgot to torque down the gas cap). The steering wheel controls are fully integrated in the stereo and you can also use the AVIC system to access engine info (plenty of videos on YouTube on the process to do this).

I installed a roof visor and window visors. I'm pretty sure they are vent shade since I typically buy that brand.

I also re-calibrated the sunroof... It was not closing properly when I purchased the car and I was able to find the reset procedures to have it close properly. There was some rain that leaked in and some minor water stains... It can be removed - I just haven't done it. It's fully dry and it only happened once. it was just a fluke thing because of how the car was parked on the driveway.

The battery was replaced in the last 6 months with an interstate battery from Costco. I'm not sure the warranty transfers to the new owner.. probably not.

The car did not have the spare tire set when I bought it. I am sure you can find a complete set at a pull-a-part. If I happen to get it myself, I will add the cost to the price.

I have receipts for other work done in the past 3 years - including the front differential getting new gaskets and seals and a front axle replaced. The inspection is good until January 2022. Never had any issue with emissions/inspection.

THere's probably a few other things I've done that I can't remember.

Exterior isn't perfect - I'd say a 7/10... rear bumper has some blemishes... you can probably get a new one or used one and get it painted if you want it to look perfect. There is small area above right rear wheel well that is a rust pitting issue. A few other imperfections here and there... it's a 16 y/o car that has been driven - not a showpiece so it's by no means going to win some car show prize. But - from about greater than 6 feet away, it look fine.

Interior is about the same 7/10. I had it recently professionally detailed so it's all cleaned up. I did put Weathertech, front and rear floor mats... I bought those new when I purchased the car about 2 years ago. Those mats were fully cleaned as well as the interior fully vacuumed and shampooed.

You've basically got a better engine that what was in it originally - JASPER typically fixes manufacturing defects. She hauls if you stomp on it. It is a V8 and AWD so don't expect great gas mileage. But on a straight and flat highway cruising at 70, I have observed about 22MPG. Being AWD, it's great for winter or inclement weather. I've had the car alignment done at least twice at Firestone since owning the car... I would say the car's been driven probably a total of 2K miles since the last alignment.

I did repair a broken plastic part in the shift assembly - I used a metal replacement so that shouldn't happen anymore... apparently - that's a common occurrence. Also - I installed a 2-piece splash guard beneath the engine and front diff. I believe I have some extra parts lying around too, I'll throw those in since I don't need them (engine oil, filter, spark plugs, a new oil pan uptake filter and some other stuff I can't remember... - actually - I do have 2 new wheel bearings, as well... I thought there was a problem with one, but it turns out it was sand in my brakes. I like doing those in pairs.

Finally - why am I selling. My wife doesn't really drive it - it was purchased for her. I have considered keeping it but at this point, I'd rather have something that can carry more people.

To my knowledge, everything, including the front seat heaters work. It's possible one of the buttons may be on the fritz but I know they have both worked the few times I drove the car in the winter. I'm also sure I replaced the windshield wipers in the last few months with Michelins on sale at Costco.
