5.7 Hemi M D S ...........any good?

Am looking to trade my base model and buy an RT.

Seeing one with the MDS cylinder reduction option.

Quick research reveals that '05, the year of this car I am looking at, was the 1st year for MDS.

Does anyone know how it worked...........decently or awful? Cadillac, in the 80's, failed with their effort at this concept.

It works, just have to run the right viscosity oil (5w20 I believe). It'll save you a couple or 3 miles per gallon.

I see a lot of guys deleting the system all together, seems like more of an "eco" gimmick than anything.
