Lurking for quite a while, but my first post. Lost my first Maggie, a 2005 SXT last year when one of the kids put it in a flooded river.
She spent 7 days under 9 ft of water. Loved that car. Ordered new the first week my dealer could order the newly released model in '05. 307K miles when she was lost. Picked up another '05 earlier this year that needs a tranny and some freshening up from water infiltration from a leaking sunroof drain. Stripped the entire interior to clean and scrub to get rid of the mildew smell. Cleared out the drain tubes for the sunroof and adjusted so it closes properly. I have also installed dynamat throughout the rear cargo and seating areas to quiet down the noise from the rear when running with the toneau open and seats down.
I will replace the tranny in the coming weeks when I can get a few days off from work. Plans to install custom leather interior and stripe kit on the exterior. Maybe a cat back exhaust and a mild body kit in the future as well.
Really like some of the body mods I have seen o this forum. Keep up the good work folks.
