Magnum in need of engine rebuild, better to trade it in?

My engine is jumping time and I'm in need of a new timing chain and valves. Shop says it's going to be around $5000 bucks.

The vehicle is in great interior condition and only has 85000 miles on it, but KBB only values it at about $7500 in good condition. I still owe $8000 on it.

So my question is should I just trade it in and add the $8000 onto a new car loan, or repair the engine and be $13000 in the hole when it's only work $7500.

Sounds like it may be time to trade that one in. However to me it depends on which model you have, SE SXT RT or SRT. SRTs are surely worth Keeping!
