Killer Glass Engine Mod
|
Hey all,
I am doing a Killer Glass engine mod to my 2006 Dodge Magnum SXT, 3.5L soon and wanted to know what color coolent does it originaly take. I want to change the coolent to red, to get the correct effect with the red led's, but have read somethings stating the red coolent will damage the engine in the long run and the Magnums are only made to use the orange coolent. Is this true? Please advise. Thank you.

Look in your owners manual and see if it takes the HOAT coolant. If so, that is all you can use. I think the Zerex number is G05, runs about $14 a gallon.

Post up some pics when you get it done!! I have one on my se and hadn't had any problems at all. I just got the led though, so I got to get it wired up!

if you are wanting red all you have to do is go get a 3 dollar thing of red food coloring and add some to it... wont hurt the system one bit and your are still using the factory coolant specs
