What brand of Motor Oil to use

How is synthetic blend, and could it be used in the srt8 motor.

Just purchased my 2006 rt 5.7l from a local chrysler dealership last week. Not sure what there house brand oil is. But i wanted to get it changed asap today and used a oem mopar filter and mobil 1 full synthetic 5/20. Oil pressure went from about 22 psi at idle to 34 psi now. I would say that is a big improvement. Plus the valvetrain seems quieter as well.

You are aware that MOBIL pays both Dodge and Mercedes to SAY that MOBIL'S oil is the one that the manufacturer suggetss.

It's a HUGE DEAL behind the scenes and LOTS of money changes hands. That's why you will never see Royal Purple as a suggested motor oil.

Kind of reminds me of when HARLEY used to say synthetics were BAD for your HD motor, UNTIL they came out with their own HD synthetic brand. Then it was OK.

Or like when the Mormons said drinking 'soda' was bad. Until the Mormon church BOUGHT COKE. Now good Mormons can drink COKE products.

It's all about the money. just sayin
