Coolest car ever! Big fan, loved the first one so much I got another!

JarZ aka Jacob here. Our vendor section should be up and running shortly but I'm really glad to see another Magnum forum pop up!!
I loved this car since the first time I saw a picture of it and then obsessed about getting a Magnum R/T immediately!! I bored my wife to tears and in 2008 I was able to pick up my Bright Silver 2005 Magnum R/T.
Pure awesomeness and I love this car.

A few years later, I bought a G35x as my new daily driver and had the Magnum as the garage queen/weekend car/show car. Good situation, but I didn't really fit in the G35x and it seemed it didn't "fit" me either. A great car, but not right for me and my family... so the hunt was on and finally on Saturday less than two weeks ago, I picked up a Brilliant Black 2006 Magnum SRT-8.
This thing is a beast and incredible to drive.

And the MSRT8 - no mods done by me yet but the exterior is all blacked out already. I think it looks amazing:

Quite a pair. Both have roughly the same amount of power as the R/T has a cam upgrade, ported cylinder heads, shorty headers and is custom tuned. The SRT is bone stock power-wise so they're in the same ballpark with performance. However the SRT is a much more complete package with its tight handling, lowered ride, bigger brakes, better seats etc but in other ways the RT is "wilder" to drive, also because of those differences.

The 05 R/T has Electronic Convenience Group, Convenience Group II, Protection Group (very rare on R/Ts (even on SRTs as a matter of fact)), and Smoker's Group (ashtray lol)
The 06 SRT-8 has all options, i.e. SRT Group I, Group II and Group III, plus the extra selectable features which are sunroof and side airbags.

People think I'm crazy - why would you have two of the same car and to that I say: To be able to pick between TWO Hemi Magnums no matter what the occasion is, is pretty friggin' awesome. It's one of my favorite cars of all time, and by far the most sensible and practical, so why not get two? Doubly awesome

WOW, Jacob... just ran out to the garage to my sure my 06 Black SRT Mag was still there!!! I know what you mean about the magnums. We have FOUR!!!

Wow...amazing find to set off the first maggie...How many miles on the SRT and was it sold by a private party or dealer... Price?

Traded for the SRT for my G35 but it was listed for $16000. Private party. 85000 miles on her and runs like a champ. 400 miles for work today - just awesome

So the Private party took your G35 in trade?...You drove 400 miles in one day for work? What was your overall gas mileage?
