Oil Change

Time for an Oil Change on my 06 R/T with the 5.7 (of course).
I have been using recommended regular oil, but would like to change to Synthetic. I understand this might give slightly better gas mileage.
What brand, Type, or kind should I put in?
I live in Socal, so it should get down to the 50s soon. :-)
What weight oil should I use to keep the Multi Displacment feature working?
Any other suggestions?

You have to use 5W20 with the MDS for it to work correctly. Almost all synthetic oil is good but most everyone has their favorite. I personally use Royal Purple.
