Default Looking at an 07 SRT-8.. A few questions

A guy here has an 07 SRT-8 with 65000 miles on it. Asking $15000

1) Are the transmissions reliable in these? I've heard yes and no.

2) What about the popular "stuck in park" syndrome. Is there an easy preventative remedy for this?

3) What's with the front end issues? Is it the wear items (bushings, ball joints, etc)? Should be good aftermarket replacements for these I'd assume.

I'm in Canada, and the car came from New York a few years ago.

I'm actually thinking about trading my 69 Nova for this. I acquired the Nova (which I like btw),as partial trade for a HOT 68 Dart last year. Always liked the Magnums from day one being a Mopar guy, and the black SRT 8 is beckoning me!! It's rwd btw.

Thanks
codfish

I've not heard of any transmission issues unless you're boosting power. The "pink thingy" part that breaks so you can't get the car out of park can be replaced with a billet one that won't. Yes, the front end parts are notorious for wearing out, I'd probably go with Moog or similar replacements.

65K for 15K....do it! in Oregon this would go north of 20K. 5-8 thousand can take care of most issues if any....
