Smile Diablo Preditor, or Code Reader ??

I am a relitive newby with my "new" 06 5.7. with 50,000 miles on it. Since I am not techinally advanced on these newer cars, I wonder about the Code Readers, and Diablo Preditor. I assume they are different devices, but which will do more for me and my Mag.
What exactly can each do, and what brands would be recommended?
As for installing a "CHIP" what would Gov. Jerry Browns Imperal Smog Troopers say about it?
Would installing the "Chip" help the gas mileage?

Get the DiabloSport Predator for sure. Not only can you tune your engine, it's a code reader too. You can also change you tire size, differential gear ratio and other things. Chips are old school and really don't work on vehicles that have adaptive learning. As far as gas mileage, good luck squeezing some more out of it.
